Free Mental Health First Aid Course available for two Garryowen Members

Limerick Sports Partnership are running a two day Mental Health First Aid Course facilitated by Liam Cantwell and Ciara McInerney.  This course normally costs participants €300 to attend but as a result of funding secured through the HSE, Garryowen are delighted Limerick Sports Partnership are able to offer this course to two of our members  FREE OF CHARGE.

This is a fantastic opportunity for club members to increase their awareness and knowledge around the area of Mental Health.  Please see attached information for full course outline.

The course will take place on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd July from 9.00am to 4.30pm in the Physical Education & Sports Science Building (PESS), University of Limerick, Castletroy, Limerick. 

Please note that places are limited, and participants must be available to attend both days IN FULLto receive certification.

  If you are a Garrtyowen member who would like to attend this course please email cmcinerney@limericksports.ie and a registration link will be forwarded to you.  YOU MUST EMAIL FIRST IN ORDER FOR REGISTRATION LINK TO BE SENT TO YOU. 

Upon receipt of the registration link you must register immediately to secure your place on the course.

Please note a €10 deposit per person will be charged to secure your place which will be reimbursed at the end of the 2-day course.

Golf Classic Results

The Annual Garryowen FC Club Golf Classic was held in Castletroy Golf Club last week. Our main sponsor was Bon Secours Hospital Barringtons at Limerick. Results were as follows:

1st place and winners of the Inaugural Paul O’Byrne Trophy were :Kieran Walshe, Diarmuid Leonard, Ger O’Shea – 57 points.

2nd place: Ed Fitzgerald, Shane Murphy, Ger Kearney- 56 points

3rd place: Mark O’Donoghue, Morgan Whelan, Dermot Doolan – 54 points

Longest Drive – Eamonn Haugh
